How does The Designer Bestie consultation work?

Consultations are available virtually or in person.

Virtual consultations take place via Google Meet. Prior to your session, you'll receive a meeting link by email so we can connect face-to-face and discuss your project.

In-person consultations take place in your home or project space, allowing us to review selections, layouts, finishes, and design opportunities firsthand.

Whether virtual or in person, this time is yours to use however you need. We can review inspiration, discuss design challenges, evaluate selections, troubleshoot layouts, or answer specific questions about your project.

Think of it as having a designer bestie by your side — helping you make confident decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and create a home you love.

How should I prepare?

Preparation can be as minimal or as thorough as you'd like.

Helpful materials may include:

  • Photos of your space
  • Inspiration images or Pinterest boards
  • Furniture, lighting, or décor options you're considering
  • Paint colors and material samples
  • Flooring, tile, countertop, or fabric samples
  • Floor plans, elevations, or builder drawings
  • Measurements and room dimensions
  • A list of questions or decisions you'd like help with

If you're meeting in person and deciding between multiple options, having samples available allows us to review everything together and evaluate how materials work within your home's lighting and overall design.

The more information you provide, the more specific and actionable the guidance can be — but don't worry if you arrive with just a few questions. We'll make the most of our time together.

How do I show my space during a virtual consultation?

Virtual consultations take place over Google Meet. You may show your space in real time using your device's camera, or share photos, floor plans, inspiration images, and other materials using screen share.

Will I receive product recommendations?

Yes. If sourcing advice is part of your consultation, you'll receive personalized recommendations based on your space, style, goals, and budget.

Recommendations may include furnishings, lighting, materials, finishes, décor, and products sourced from a variety of trusted brands, retailers, showrooms, and vendors.
